365 journal prompt 6

Write about one or more holiday traditions your family carried on last year.

Christmas at Mimi’s house. This was my 7th Christmas with the Clawsons and it feels like i’ve been doing it much longer than that. It’s like driving up to Belton is fianlly going home after a long year of traveling. I love getting there & wondering the last 5 miles if we’re going to be the very last ones there… then pulling up & realizing we aren’t (usually it’s my in-laws). I love seeing the smile on Mimi’s face when we come inthe door… and I love the hugs from PaPaw. White Elephant is always funny- Caleb usually ends up with something girly. My boys get to play with their secodn cousins- who really don’t live far, but we really only see them on holidays.

365 journal prompt 4

How did you spend New Year’s eve & day? Who were you with? What did you do? How was this year different than last year?

It was a really quiet night at home. Normally we don’t do anything big for New Year’s Eve… with John’s B-day being the day before, the hangover usually prevents us from doing anything major or from drinking too much. But since I was breastfeeding this year I had 1 drink only and I think we spent most of the night watching Stand-up comdey, UFO specials and playing WOW (well, john played & I sat next to him).

365 Designer’s Notebook Challenge- journal prompt 1

I’m running a challenge @ Divine Digital this year (with help from Royanna). There’s a journaling prompt & scrapping challenge for every day of the year. I’m a bit behind due to some technical issues, so it’s time to catch up.

Prompt #1-
Make a list of at least 12 things you want to accomplish in 2009.

1. Life 365- take a photo & record every day this year. Personally I’d really like to have at least 1 scrapped page for each day of the year.

2. Get in the habit of walking at least a mile a day. Using Leslie Sansone DVDs right now & up to 3 days a week.

3. Get Damek to go to bed consistently at 9pm or earlier.

4. Finish my 365 Designer’s Notebook Challenge with all journaling prompts completed & at least 1/2 the scrapping challenges completed (that’s 183!)

5. Go on a bed & breakfast getaway weekend (or even a night) with John when he graduates from HVAC school

6. Fix up the backyard for all the boys… storage shed finished out w/ electricity for John and fort for boys out in yard

7. Create at least 25 Commercial Use doodle sets

8. Create at least 200 new personal use products in 2009

9. Learn to FLY!!!!!!!!!!!

10. Get John to go to the Spa for a massage

11. Wear a size 12 jeans

12. Breastfeed/pump until Merrick is ready for real milk
